How to Download and Install ReVanced Extended on Android?
Download the ReVanced Extended APK file to your device. Then go to file manager, look for the downloaded RVX APK file, tap on it and install. Make sure to uninstall any other modded YT apps if there are any.
Enable Installation from Unknown Sources in Android settings under Security if it says permission required to install third-party app.
You will also need to install Vanced MicroG app alongside ReVanced Extended. Without Vanced MicroG, you won’t be able to log in to the Google account while using RVX. So go ahead and download it.

My Experience using both ReVanced and ReVanced Extended (RVX)
I have been using both the ReVanced and Extended ReVanced app for a few months now. Both apps on the paper look and feel the same.
Both block ads, offer background playback, has integration with SponsorBlock, Picture-in-Picture Mode. You also get to see the Dislike count under views which hidden by YouTube from the late 2021 and the ability to download videos directly to your phone storage outside of YouTube.
To be honest, average users won’t feel any difference. However, for power users and YouTube enthusiast who want more control and customization. It is filled with dozens of pro features that power users will love exploring and using.
I checked some important features like ad-blocker, SponsorBlock, Background Playback, Picture-in-Picture mode, External download and casting. All work pretty fine.
One thing I liked most about it is that it comes with YouTube shorts pre-disabled. It is need of the hour. I really hate YouTube shorts.
Battery Backup Difference
I noticed no difference in battery backup between both the apps. ReVanced Extended works well and doesn’t have any weird batery drain issue.
Overall Experience
The app was overall smooth to use. I noticed no lags, jitters or occasional shutdown or restarts when using the app.
Update Process
I was using an older version of ReVanced Extended. For testing new features, I downloaded and installed the latest version on top of the installed app. The update process was complete successfully. There were no erros when updating the app. I am quite surprised because I was using really old version and it still got updated without any issues.
